Length of tops is a big issue. It needs to be longer than for a slim lady, just reach the same level of hem on your figure. Many larger ladies also prefer the longline look too, tunic-style, and this works well for some figures, partly because the bustline may be lower and partly to add length to the torso. Be careful not to over-do this approach, especially if it completely hides your waistline, because it can make your legs look shorter. It might also simply make you look bigger. The addition of a thin contrasting belt may help, as this gives a visual clue to the length of your legs, and re-adjusts your feminine proportions.
