As well as overall length and fit of a top, the style of the sleeves can make all the different between looking just okay, and looking great. Feminine looking flared or butterfly or kimono style sleeves can be very flattering, especially for large upper arms. A lot of ladies cover their arms as a strict rule, but you should try to be flexible on this, even if confidence is lacking. Sheer materials make a good compromise between bare arms and covering them.

Getting that seam perched correctly on each shoulder makes a big different to the look of a top. A simple t-shirt can look smart and stylish if this area fits just right. If it's hard to find shoulders that fit well, then seek out alternative types of sleeves.
